Configuring two game controllers in RetroPie is a simple process. Please follow the steps below to configure 2 game controllers:

Step 0: Reset Your Controller

1. If you need to reset your controller, refer to this article.

Step 1: Configure the First Controller

1. Remove all controllers.
2. Power on the Raspberry Pi with controller 1 plugged in.
3. Follow the on-screen instructions to configure controller 1.

Step 2: Configure the Second Controller

1. When you're booted into EmulationStation, plug in controller 2.
2. Press "start" on controller 1 to bring up the MAIN MENU.
3. On controller 1, press down until you're on "Configure Inputs", press A.
4. On controller 2, press and hold down any button to configure that input.
